It’s a short poem today, and I’m sending all those who are struggling with doubt–in themselves, in others, in this whole mess we’re in–a whole lot of love.
Happy Poetry Tuesday, and may your day be bright.
how easy it is for a titanic strength
to flounder on the smallest of doubts
a mammoth, tusks and all, restrained,
held fast, shaking with uncertainty
at the thin and fraying rope
around its mighty foot
you could crush demons, darling
you forgot the good
you might do—
—when you forget yourself
